About A.M. Vedsø Olesen:

 

A.M. (Anne-Marie) Vedsø Olesen has been called "The Danish Anne Rice" by the press. She has studied, among other things, mathematics, computer science, Greek mythology and archeology, and she took her degree in medicine in 1993. The author has lived several years in Belgium and USA, and lives now in Copenhagen. Her first novel, Salerno’s Sun was published in 2000 - a story set in the Middle Ages. Salerno's Sun brought the author the second prize in a competition by The Danish Royal Library and the publisher Gyldendal.

In 2002, her next novel The Devil’s Interval followed, in 2004 Third Icarus, and in 2007 Twilight of the Gods.

A.M. Vedsø Olesen has been awarded grants by The Danish Arts Council’s Committee for Literature (2003), and by The National Art Foundation (2005).
